ngbalance ("ngbalance", "we", "us") is an accounting and bookkeeping platform developed by 360 Success and operated together with BNS Taxes. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ngbalance you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email, business name, role and authentication data.
• Accounting data from QuickBooks Online (Intuit): when you connect your QuickBooks Online company, and only with your explicit authorization, we access accounting data such as your chart of accounts, balances, and transactions to provide bookkeeping, reporting and tax-preparation services.
• Bank data (via Plaid): when you connect a bank account, we receive transaction and balance information to categorize and reconcile your books.
• Usage data: basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your information

• To provide accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting and tax-preparation services you request.
• To categorize, reconcile and organize your transactions (including AI-assisted categorization).
• To generate financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) and tax forms.
• To secure the service and comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate ngbalance, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations. These include our cloud infrastructure and database provider (Supabase), our bank-connectivity provider (Plaid), and our AI provider used for transaction categorization (Anthropic). We may disclose information if required by law. We never sell your personal or financial data.

4. Intuit / QuickBooks data

Access to your QuickBooks Online data is granted by you through Intuit's OAuth authorization and can be revoked at any time from your Intuit account or by disconnecting within ngbalance. We access only the data needed to deliver the service, retain it only as long as necessary, and protect it as described below. Our use of Intuit APIs complies with Intuit's developer and data-handling requirements.

5. Data security

We use encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive credentials at rest, access controls, and tenant isolation. Access tokens for third-party services are stored encrypted.

6. Data retention & your rights

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal/accounting requirements. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you may disconnect QuickBooks or bank connections at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us below.
